Mindfulness

Since October 2017 Julie has been studying for a Masters in Mindfulness with the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor University.  She is now teaching eight-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Courses (MBSR) to groups. 

The MBSR Course was developed in the US by Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979.  It has been delivered to thousands of patients suffering from chronic health problems (both physical and emotional) with significant positive outcomes.  The eight-week course cultivates present-centred awareness and improves emotional resilience.

My life was one long rush and I knew I had to slow down and learn some tools to stop my stress... I learned to live more in the present.
